You can borrow print books anytime as there is 24/7 access to the library with a Trust ID badge. We have a self-issue machine to borrow, renew and return your books.

If you are not based at Stoke Mandeville, we can send books to you via the internal mail email bht.library@nhs.net

You can also ask us to obtain books not in stock.

How can I access ClinicalKey?

To access the website

  • Go to www.clinicalkey.com
  • Click Login
  • Click Open Athens login and enter your username and password
  • For first time use, it is recommended that you click on Activate so that you can use all the features of ClinicalKey. It should only take a minute to do this.

To access the mobile app

  • Download the ClinicalKey app from your App store
  • Chose the Global edition of ClinicalKey
  • Enter your NHS Open Athens username and password
