Paralysis Paralysis is the loss of the ability to move some or all of the body. It can have lots of different causes, some of which can be serious. Depending on the cause, it may be temporary or permanent.

Spinal Disc Problems Spinal discs are also called intervertebral discs. There is a spinal disc between each bone (vertebra) in your spine. This keeps the vertebrae separated and acts as a shock absorber. As we get older the spinal discs gradually become damaged and this can cause problems such as back pain. Other problems affecting the spinal discs include a slipped disc or, much more rarely, infection (discitis).

Whiplash Neck Sprain A whiplash neck sprain (also know as just whiplash) is common after a road traffic accident. Symptoms usually ease and go without any specific treatment. It is best to keep the neck active and moving. If required, painkillers can ease pain.
