The free NHS-backed, open-access Reframe Image Library features clinical photos of people from a range of communities, to show how different illnesses and conditions manifest themselves.It has been created to address a shortage of medical images showing patients with varied skin-tones, which makes it harder for clinicians to spot the telltale signs of disease. The aim is to help tackle health inequalities, with people from ethnic minorities often experiencing poorer outcomes and lower life-expectancy.
