E-books

To search for ebooks, we recommend searching the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub.

  • Login with NHS Open Athens
  • Enter the title or subject of the book and search
  • On the left hand side of the screen, you can limit your search to ebooks using the Source Type filter.
  • Select your chosen title and then click on Availability
  • Click the link for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust staff to access the page.

If you need any help, please email bht.library@nhs.net

Alternatively you can browse by publisher collections such as Elsevier (ClinicalKey) and Oxford University Press (Oxford Medicine Online) or by ebook host platform - Proquest or Kortext - both of which have books from a variety of publishers.

Audiobooks and e-books on BorrowBox

BorrowBox is a free app from Bolinda Publishing where you can borrow a range of e-books and audiobooks that you can access on your mobile device. Titles available include fiction books to uplift, relax to, inspire or simply enjoy. There is also a great range of non-fiction titles to support your wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, and work-related topics such as leadership, time-management and communication.

Exam books in the library

The library also has a number of revision books - find out what is available via the library catalogue. We can also order titles in that are not in stock.
