Accessing the library

The library is on the first floor of the Duke of Edinburgh building in the Postgraduate Centre and has a lift.

Additional equipment

All library computers have magnifier options to enable text to be enlarged and a narrator option that reads the text from the screen.

The computers also have an on-screen keyboard if required. There is a keyboard for those with low vision (high contrast & large keys) and anti-glare yellow tinted eyeglasses are available on request.

WIFI is available in the library so that staff can use their own laptops, mobiles or tablets if preferred.

LIbrary leaflets

The library can provide coloured overlay reading rulers and A4 coloured overlays (both in 10 colours), a portable standing desk, laptop stand, book stand and copies of library leaflets and guides with larger font, or with coloured paper on request.

Additionally, the RNIB Book Share Service is available through BHT Library. It enables you to borrow books in accessible formats through the RNIB Book Share platform free of charge.
